Trevor Fearon is the Chief Executive Officer of the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce (JCC), one of the hemisphere’s oldest business associations (established in 1779). The JCC’s member firms are active in such sectors and industries as ICT, Energy, Tourism, Financial Services, Agribusiness, Manufacturing, Distribution and others.
Trevor worked in investment and trade promotion for many years at JAMPRO, Jamaica’s economic development agency, and was the country’s Trade Commissioner in Hong Kong for five years. He has also worked in the creative and cultural industries and is a founding director of Visual & Performing Arts Jamaica, an NGO established to support the professional development of cultural and creative practitioners. He has worked with the non-partisan Jamaica Debates Commission since its establishment in 2002 to organize and stage political debates ahead of the nation’s local and general elections, and has participated in technical support and election observation missions in Africa, South America and the Middle East.
Trevor holds a B.A. in language and literature from the University of the West Indies and an MBA in international marketing from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee where he was a Fulbright Graduate Awardee.
